I realized I havent done 'younger Yuna' post lately, so here's a 16-year-old Yuna skating at the 2007 World Figure Skating Championships to Christina Aguilera's "Reflection" from the Disney movie Mulan. She ended up winning the bronze medal, which was pretty amazing since it was her first year as a senior skater and she was competing with skaters who had been in the senior level longer. Notice how at the commentator at the end of the video says: "Kim Yuna... Bronze medalist this year, surely a Gold Medalist to Come!" Indeed, 2 years later, Yuna won the Gold for the 2009 World Championships a only 18 years old, and then at 2010, she won the biggest Gold of em all: an Olympic Gold Medal at only 19.

ReplyDeleteVery nice very nice. I forgot is Christina Aguilera actually sang in the Movie itself. The song sounds different from what I remember in the movie.
