Yuna is 5th Highest-Paid Female Athlete in the World

According to Forbes, Yuna Kim ranks as the 5th highest-paid female athlete in the world, with $9.7 million in earnings. The 4 women who surpassed Yuna are: Maria Sharapova (tennis) with $24.5 million, tennis sisters Serena and Venus Williams with $20.2 million and $15.4 million respectively, and Danica Patrick with $12 million. Yuna is the youngest person on the list (which was accumulated when she was only 19). This also makes Yuna the highest paid female Olympian.

"The one Olympian on our list is figure skater Kim Yu-Na, who made $9.7 million, ranking her fifth. The 2010 Olympic gold medalist has an impressive endorsement portfolio including Hyundai, Nike and Samsung Electronics." (Forbes)

CONGRATS YUNA!

  10. @ david: she pays for the rink, her coach (when she gets a new one), her costumes, her employees (she started her own sports company run by her mom), her air fare coz she needs to travel to compete and promote shows, produce her Ice shows, pay other skaters for her ice shows, etc. She's a busy girl lol.
